Beau & Eve

This unisex brand is fairly new to shelves, but we’re already head-over-heels for its unique range of natural scented products. Using fragrances like Arabian oud and Tunisian neroli, Beau & Eve’s coffee scrubs are designed to exfoliate while their argan and coconut oil base will leave your skin supermodel sheeny. Plus, everything is cruelty-free, vegan, without toxins and parabens and all made in Beau & Eve’s Dubai lab.

Siffa

You’ve probably noticed this Dubai-based face and bodycare brand in your local Sephora, but if not it’s definitely worth checking out. The natural beauty label – whose name means ‘healing’ in Arabic – is the brainchild of Dr Lamees Hamdan, who combines her background in dermatology with a passion for holism. We’re all about Shiffa’s jade rollers (which are great for decreasing puffiness, as well as a fun little task to do while you’re watching Netflix), and have heard great things about the body oil for mums-to-be.

Herbal Essentials

This UAE-born brand also has a focus on the all-natural, mixing pure Himalayan water into their formulas as well as Ayurvedic ingredients such as neem and aloe vera (so think very calming and soothing). Hero products from the chemical and cruelty-free range include their SPF oils – which are genuinely not greasy yet also supremely moisurising – and the above face mask, which is blended with clay to really soak up everything hiding in those pores.

The Camel Soap Factory

Forget your gels and oils – you want one of these handcrafted soaps in your shower caddy. Made in Dubai (in a warehouse in Al Quoz), these cleansing bars are loaded with olive oil, essential oils and the aforementioned camel milk (which is super gentle, nourishing and packed with vitamins B and C). Their wide range includes options for babies and specifically for washing your face, so these also make a great birthday/Christmas/just-because gifts.

Glossy Make Up

It’s stocked in Harrods’ Urban Retreat beauty spa, so you know this false lashes and makeup brushes range has got the thumbs up from those in the know. The brand was launched by makeup artist Natasha Zaki, who has worked with fashion labels including Louis Vuitton and Dior, and is most famous for its line of 3D silk lashes. You can wear them up to 20 times (if you take good care of them), which is a refreshing change from equally pricey but throwaway options.

Huda Beauty

Well we couldn’t do a local beauty round-up without including this gone-global megabrand, could we? Launched by makeup artist and blogger Huda Kattan, the label’s line of lashes, nails, eyeshadows and lip colours have become must-haves in the US as well as the Middle East. It’s Kattan’s Liquid Matte lipsticks which have really blown up (let’s just say Kylie Jenner and her Lip Kits should be very afraid).
